Almost halfway!!!

19 Weeks Today!!

How big is baby? About 6 inches head to butt (about 10 inches head to toe!!) and about 8.5 oz.

What is baby up to? Their brains are designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that they can hear my voice now.

Maternity clothes? Oh yea.

Stretch marks? Mmmmhmmmm.

Sleep? Has gotten a lot better since wearing wrist braces to help with carpal tunnel.

Best moment this week? Getting to hear their heartbeats today at the doctor.

Miss anything? Still sushi and Diet Mountain Dew.

Feeling movement yet? Not yet. Hopefully soon.

Food cravings? Fresh fruits and veggies. My sweet tooth is coming in but not too much yet.

Food aversions? BBQ still doesn't sound good. Good news is I can eat Chinese food now!

Started showing? Zach said that this month my belly has seemed to really pop. "It seems like every time you turn around, its gotten bigger." I'm not sure if I should say thanks or slap him.

Gender? We go to the doctor Thursday and will do a gender reveal Friday evening with our immediate families.

Signs of labor? No.

Belly button, in or out? In.

Wedding rings, on or off? My fingers and feet have been a little swollen since we did all of that walking and standing Saturday at the SEC Championship so I can only wear one ring at a time :(

Mood? Better but still have my moments for sure!

Looking forward to...? Finding out the genders with our families Friday evening and spending the week in Alabama for Christmas.

Just one more week...

Yep, just one more week until we find out the genders of our sweet little blessings. We are so excited and can hardly wait!

18 Weeks 3 Days

How big is baby? Babies are about 5 1/2 inches head to rump and weigh almost 7 oz. About the size of 2 bell peppers. I LOVE bell peppers! Geez, they're getting so big!

What is baby up to? Flexing arms and legs. Their blood vessels are visible through their thin skin and ears are in final position.

Maternity clothes? Definitely.

Stretch marks? I can literally feel my skin stretching. It itches CONSTANTLY. Stretch marks are coming gradually but I don't mind.

Sleep? Its gotten easier since I bought some wrist braces for my carpal tunnel. My finger tips still tingle constantly and my wrists are stiff but at least I'm not waking up with severe pain all the way up my arm, into my shoulder and upper back.

Best moment this week? It has nothing to do with the babies but Auburn won the Iron Bowl. It was crazy and now Zach and I are going to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta tomorrow.

Miss anything? Sushi!!!!!! Diet Mountain Dew!!! It just hit me this week how bad I miss my DMD.

Feeling movement yet? Not yet but I can't wait to feel these little boogers dance.

Food cravings? Raw veggies are still good. My sweet tooth has come in a little in the last week or so. I'm also really thirsty.

Food aversions? BBQ kind of grosses me out. Chinese food had repulsed me but we had Panda Express at the mall the other day and it was so yummy.

Started showing? This question is pointless.

Gender? We go to the doctor Thursday but won't find out until we have a gender reveal get-together Friday night. We are so excited!

Signs of labor? No.

Belly button, in or out? In.

Wedding rings, on or off? On.

Mood? Its gotten a little better. I'm still a pill at times. Right now, all I want to do is sleep all day and night.

Looking forward to...? Finding out the gender with our families. I think it will really seem real then.

WAR EAGLE from New Jersey! It's Iron Bowl Saturday!

17 Weeks 4 Days

How big is baby? About 5 oz (about the size of a turnip) and about 5 inches long from head to bottom.

What is baby up to? Their skeletons are changing from soft cartilage to bone and their umbilical cords are growing stronger and thicker. They can move their joints and their sweat glands are beginning to develop.

Maternity clothes? A definite must these days.

Stretch marks? Probably got more by now. I can feel everything growing and stretching.

Sleep? Carpal tunnel and back/hip pain are still giving me fits but thankfully I have a great husband who encourages my extra sleep. Love him!

Best moment this week? Having lots of company over for Thanksgiving.

Miss anything? Still Sushi. Energy. Diet Mountain Dew.

Feeling movement? Not yet.

Food cravings? Still loving cold cucumbers. Needing lots of water these days as well.

Food aversions? BBQ just doesn't sound very good right now. And Chinese food still doesn't do much for me either.

Started showing yet? HA!

Gender? Find out in less than 2 weeks. Can't wait to find out with family.

Signs of labor? Nope.

Belly button, in or out? In.

Wedding rings, on or off? On.

Mood? Still changing like the tide.

Looking forward to...? Finding out the genders.

Running late...as usual.

16 Weeks 4 Days

How big is baby? They are both about 4 1/2 inches (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces (about the size of an avocado).

What is baby up to this week? In the next few weeks, the babies will double their weight and add inches to his length. Their legs are much more developed, their heads are more erect than it has been, and their eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. Their ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of their scalp has begun, though their locks aren't recognizable yet. They've even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, their hearts are now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as they continue to develop.

Maternity Clothes? Still loving them. They're definitely more comfy than regular clothes.

Stretch marks? No different.

Sleep? Carpal tunnel and back pain pretty much prevent any quality sleep. I always sleep better after Zach goes to work ;)

Best moment this week? Having Zach's family up for Thanksgiving.

Miss anything? Still sushi and endless caffeine.

Feeling movement? Still nothing yet.

Food cravings? Cucumbers, cooked bell peppers, and ice cream after every meal.

Food aversions? Taco Bell still makes me want to throw up. Chinese too.

Started showing yet? Shoot! A man at the grocery store asked me when I was due this week. First time someone other than family or friends has commented on it.

Gender? Find out in 3 weeks.

Any signs of labor? Nope. And let's keep it that way!

Belly button, In or Out? In.

Wedding rings, On or Off? On.

Mood? Still really moody and emotional.

Looking forward to...? Thanksgiving dinner!

TWINS due May 2014

It's true! Zach and I are expecting twins in May 2014. We are so excited we can't stand it. I know I'm a little late to the party but I figure its better late than never to post weekly pictures and facts. So, here it goes.

15 weeks

How big is baby? They are both about 4 in. crown to rump and weigh about 2.5 oz (about the size of an apple).

What is baby up to this week? They're busy moving amniotic fluid through their noses and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in their lungs begin to develop. Their legs are growing longer than their arms now, and they can move all of their joints and limbs. Although their eyelids are still fused shut, they can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, they're likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your babies to taste at this point, but they are forming taste buds.

Maternity Clothes? I did my best to wait as long as possible but gave in and bought a couple of pairs of jeans and a few tops. Honestly, I'm loving maternity clothes. They are so comfy and I don't feel guilty about my gut hanging out ;)

Stretch marks? I got some on my belly pretty early on but haven't gotten anymore recently.

Sleep? The last few weeks I have been having a lot of really weird dreams which keep me from resting very well. My arms have also been falling asleep a lot, in bed and during the day, which makes it hard to get comfortable. My mom had trouble with carpal tunnel during all three of her pregnancies so I guess I shouldn't be too shocked by this. I can't lay on my tummy anymore.

Best moment this week? We went to the doctor earlier this week and got to see and hear the heart beats. I also went to my new doctor here in New Jersey for the first time.

Miss anything? Sushi!!!!

Feeling movement? Not yet but hope to soon.

Food cravings? Pretty much any fresh produce but mostly cucumbers. I can eat whole cucumbers for every meal.

Food aversions? The thought of Taco Bell and chinese food grosses me out when I'm pregnant but when I'm not pregnant I could eat chinese food several times a week.

Started showing yet? I was showing by 7 or 8 weeks thanks to our two little rascals.

Gender? Don't know yet. I'm going back to the doctor for another ultrasound in a month. We are supposed to find out then. Hopefully they will both cooperate.

Any signs of labor? Nope. And let's keep it that way for at least 20 more weeks.

Belly button, In or Out? In.

Wedding rings, On or Off? On.

Mood? Oh boy. Where do I start? Let's just say my already low level of patience is even lower these days. I can cry at the drop of a hat and I'm pretty sure Zach is getting ready to ship me off until my due date.

Looking forward to...? Finding out the genders next month.

Well, the verdict is in.

As I said, there was some possible big news. Well, that news is here....sorta. Back a few weeks ago, one of Z's coworkers was told that he would not be working on their Missouri job anymore but instead would be moving to Yakima, Washington to do a job there. Well, when Zach got word of the move, he immediately told the guy that he would REALLY like to go with him. Not only because it would be a good place to live, but also because he felt like this guy would be a good person to work with. Well, as hard as David (his coworker) tried, the big guys on the Missouri job didn't want to let Z go. Soooooo, we will be living in Poplar Bluff, MO for the next year or more. We are both really disappointed but glad to finally know for sure where we will be. Thanks for the prayers.

Changes to come....maybe.

It seems like every time I update the blog, something big has happened.

Ada Brooke Coggin is here!!!

Stats:
Born: Tuesday February 21st at 1:14 pm
Weighed: 7 lbs 14 oz
Length: 21 in
PERFECT!

Julie was induced Tuesday morning and Ada was here by lunch time. I was originally scheduled to work Tuesday but thankfully one of my coworkers agreed to swap with me so I could go down to Auburn for the day. And boy, was I glad she did. I worked until 10:30pm Monday night and Mom and I drove down the Auburn that night. We got to the hotel at about 2am and were in bed by 2:30am. Dad was already there because he had gone down that morning to see my cousin Tanner play in a baseball tournament near Auburn. We decided we would have time to sleep in since the doctor told Kevin and Julie that they shouldn't expect a baby until 3 or 4 pm. We finally left the hotel at about 11:30am, went to Kroger to buy some flowers and were then going to grab something on the way for Kevin and Janice, Julie's mother to eat. While we were in Kroger, Kevin called and was frantically asking where we were and what was taking so long. We kept telling him that if he kept calling us it was just slowing us down even more and that if he would stop calling so much we would be able to get there sooner. So we proceeded to get their food but as we were leaving and heading toward the hospital (5 min down the road) he called and said Julie's water had broken and that we would have a baby in 30 min. At that time, we went into hyperdrive. Mom left everything but her phone in the car, dad and I parked (not together because we were so frantic), and I grabbed everything I could fit in my arms and ran into the hospital. When we got upstairs to the maternity ward, Dad and I had to go to the waiting room. Ofcourse neither of us has cell phone service so periodically I would have to walk up and down the hall to get a signal so that I could check text messages and stay updated on what was going on. At about 1:45pm, I got a text from Mom saying she was here! I'm still not sure why it took Mom 30 minutes to tell me that but I'm going to blame it on the fact that she was in charge of video taping everything and as we all know, that woman can NOT do two things at once - God love her - so I guess we'll let it slide. When we got in there to see Julie, she looked like she could have gone back to work right then. She looked great and baby Ada Brooke was precious! We all already love her like she's been here all along.

As many of you know, Zach has been working in Poplar Bluff, MO since the beginning of December while I stayed in Birmingham. The whole being married but never seeing your spouse thing just wasn't working for us. So about 3 or 4 weeks ago we decided that it would be best for us if I moved out there with him. So I put in my notice at work and began preparing for the move. Not long after we decided on the move, some friends of ours, Bryan and Jodi Wallace along with their two beautiful girls, Callie and Ansley, lost their home in a tornado that hit the Birmingham area January 23rd. So, since I was going to be moving out of our house soon and wouldn't be moving back in for who knows how long, we decided to see if they would want to stay there just until they could get their living situation figured out. Well, they signed a 6 month lease at the first of February and moved in almost immediately. I've been staying with Mom and Dad while I move closer and closer to the day that I get to be with my man :) My last day at my job is March 2nd which is next Friday. I'm sad to be leaving my job because I've made some great friends while working there and I'm going to miss them so so so much. But, I am excited because I finally get to be with Zach every day which hasn't been the case for most of our relationship, before and since we've been married.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make this transition but also because there may be another big change for us. We may not be staying in Poplar Bluff for long but that won't be decided on for another week or so...(hopefully not any longer.) I am really excited but don't want to put out details until we know for sure. It would DEFINITELY be a big move for us but would be a GREAT opportunity for Z in his career. Soooo the details will just have to wait. I will keep you updated as we find out.

Here's a few more pictures of my sweet girls:
Annalee, Ada Brooke, & Addison.

Sweet big sisters!

Annalee loves her little sister. She wants to hold her constantly. So cute!
